Pileated Woodpecker Patch
About This Product
Collect and wear your life list.
#3 Pileated Woodpecker
The Pileated Woodpecker, with its flame-red crest and black-and-white body, is an electrifying sight in eastern and mountain-west forests. Their numbers have slowly rebounded as those forests regrew after widespread clearing in the 18th and 19th centuries. You can find them banging away at dead wood in search of carpenter ants, their main prey, and the unique rectangular holes they leave behind are used for shelter by other birds.
20% of profits go to the Grassland Bird Trust as it works to safeguard important and threatened habitats for New York's birds.

All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue.
Dimensions: 1.6" wide x 2.25" tall

Love this patch! So wonderfully detailed for such a smaller patch (not too small, you can see it :). It is going to make an excellent gift for my brother who loves this woodpecker.

Would have liked a larger size too !

I LOVE these patches!!! I have purchased 3 now. One is for my BFF who adores red breasted nuthatches. Two for myself - the woodpecker and cedar waxwing - both extra special birds for me! The detail and coloring on these mini masterpieces are fabulous.

Such a Beautiful Patch! LOVE it!

I like the patch, it did not adhere to the jacket like I thought it would have. But most likely get another one at one point. It adds to my collection as a wild land fire fighter.

Fantastic patch. Bird Collective makes fashionable, yet accurate products. Can't wait to see what new birds they add to the collection!
