Product Details

Hard to see but easy to hear, the Eastern Whip-poor-will's namesake call punctuates summer nights in eastern forests. This beautiful tee tells a story about their lifecycle. They breed in forests close to clearings, where they hunt for insects in dim post-sunset and pre-dawn light. When the moon is bright enough, they can hunt all night. The female usually lays her 2-egg clutch directly on the ground amidst fallen leaves, timed to hatch about 10 days before the full moon—when the window for foraging is longest.

  • Sizing & Fit

    Unisex Fit.

  • Materials & Care

    100% heavyweight cotton.

This is pigment dyed, which gives a soft, washed, vintage look with slight variations in color. The pigment fades a bit with repeated washing, giving a lived-in feel that we love.

Avoid using bleach, harsh detergents, and hot water. For best results, turn the garment inside-out and wash with cold water and mild detergent, with like colors. Colors may bleed in first wash.

Screen printed in Brooklyn with PVC-free inks.
