#42 Scott's Oriole

Boldly colored and vocal, Scott’s Orioles inhabit the high deserts and adjoining mountain slopes of the arid Southwest. They begin singing before sunrise and continue through the sun-parched hours of the day. Scott’s Orioles have a special relationship with yucca plants, where they forage for insects and nectar, and weave nests out of and amidst their leaves.
