#43 Yellow-billed Cuckoo
Long-tailed and furtive, these voracious caterpillar eaters are more commonly heard than seen. Legend has it that they call before thunderstorms, a trait that earned them the nickname “rain crow.” The western U.S. breeding population has largely disappeared due to the devastation of their native riparian habitats and is listed as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act.
This patch is inspired by the Center for Biological Diversity, a nonprofit organization that works to protect endangered species around the world.

All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue.
