How has nature been a source of inspiration for you?

I’m inspired by nature’s little details. I can’t go on a hike without stopping every two minutes to admire some lichen or peep on a cool bug or leaf. I’m very detail oriented in my own work.

Tell us about your most memorable bird experience.

When I was little, I was in a “young ornithologists” club in school. We would bird watch in the Everglades and incubated emu eggs. They looked like avocados.
