#21 Swallow-tailed Kite

These graceful, buoyant black-and-white birds of prey are summer visitors to cypress swamps and open pine woods in the Southeast, where they raise their young before migrating to South America. A joy to watch, Swallow-tailed Kites use their deeply-forked tail to twist, swoop and glide in the sky, catching small animals and insects on the wing.

This patch is inspired by Alabama Audubon’s conservation work in one of America’s most biodiverse states.

Dimensions: 2.1" wide x 2.5" tall
