#9 Scarlet Tanager
Who can forget the first time they saw a Scarlet Tanager? Breeding males are a brilliant red with black wings and tails, and females wear hues of olive-yellow. They look exotic in the eastern forests where they breed, and they spend their non-breeding months in tropical rainforests of the Andes lowlands, when both males and females are a more muted yellow-green.
