Chimney Swift Hat

Chimney swifts spend most of their lives airborne, even bathing while flying. When they do need to land, their long, clawed feet leave them unable to perch, so they prefer vertical roosts such as cliff faces or, more commonly, the inside of chimneys. Several of these birds and their distinct silhouettes can be seen flitting across the front of this hat.
